About the Job: Digital Marketing Intern (Fall 2025)

This is a remote, unpaid internship designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, and grassroots brand building. Academic credit is available if applicable.

Job Title: Digital Marketing Intern
Location: Remote
Duration: Approximately September 1 – December 1, 2025
Commitment: 10 – 15 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid (Academic credit available if applicable)
Reports To: Founder/Creative Director

Internship Overview:

The Digital Marketing Intern will play a key role in growing Kaili Woop’s digital presence, engaging with leads, and helping shape the brand’s voice. This role is ideal for a passionate, driven individual eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Management (3-5 hours/week):
• Maintain and schedule content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn using Business Suite and other in-app tools.
• Edit and prepare content for posting, including captions, audio, thumbnails, and sizing.
• Actively engage with accounts daily to increase visibility and grow the follower base.
• Participate in engagement groups and manage inbox responses promptly.

2. Lead Outreach & Follow-Up (3 hours/week):
• Communicate with potential clients via direct messages, emails, and lead platforms like Gigsalad.
• Send weekly follow-up messages and maintain strong digital engagement.
• Identify new potential leads and contribute to growing the outreach list.

3. Database Management & Research (3-5 hours/week):
• Maintain and organize the lead/contact database using Google Sheets.
• Research and compile contact information for local businesses, art organizations, and relevant audiences.
• Assist in preparing lists for newsletters and outreach campaigns.

4. Team Collaboration (1 hour/week):
• Attend weekly Zoom check-in meetings to reflect on progress, set new goals, and align on strategy.
• Participate in a monthly one-on-one performance check-in.
• Contribute candid feedback and creative ideas during strategy sessions.

By the end of the internship, the intern will:

Develop professional communication and outreach skills.
Learn to build and analyze consumer profiles.
Gain experience using data analytics tools within social media and spreadsheets.
Understand the role of copy in marketing and storytelling.
Acquire knowledge of newsletter platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
Learn to manage marketing tasks in a startup environment.
Develop skills in marketing via non-traditional platforms like LinkedIn and Gigsalad.

Bonus Skills: Experience with copywriting, content scheduling, Canva, Illustrator/Photoshop, and lead databases.
