Job Description
This is an unpaid internship specifically for college students based in Indianapolis.
The internship role is highly involved in various aspects of Do317’s website and operational processes, with a strong emphasis on content management for their website, newsletter, and social media. It requires an ambitious candidate with keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities & Involvement:
• Keeping website, newsletter, and social media content fresh, engaging, and accurate.
• Thinking creatively about content opportunities, social media strategy, audience engagement, and consumer behavior.
• Attending shows and events in and around Indianapolis to gather content and represent Do317.
• Finding creative opportunities for media trades, event sponsorships, partnered content, and brand partnerships.
• Attending a large majority of Do317-produced events outside of normal office hours.
• Compiling lists of leads, including links to websites, social media profiles, and contact information.
• Performing additional tasks such as running errands and assisting with Do317 events.
Job Requirements and Skills Needed:
• Availability: Able to work 15-25 hours per week with a flexible schedule to attend events frequently.
• Location: Must be based in Indianapolis.
• Status: Must be a college student.
• Age: Open to all candidates over 18; 21+ is preferred but not mandatory.
• Passion: Strong passion for music, culture, food, events, and nightlife.
• Self-Motivation: Ability to be focused, get the job done, and take initiative even when assigned tasks are completed.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Able to think outside the box for creative ideas on how Do317 can collaborate with other companies to generate attention, audience growth, brand awareness, and revenue.
• People Skills: Able to tactfully communicate with individuals and businesses to encourage their engagement with Do317.
• Composure: Ability to stay calm in high-pressure event environments.
• Product Understanding: Deep understanding of the Do317 product and its benefits for both clients and users.
• Team Contribution: Confident, creative thinker able to speak up and contribute in a team environment.
• Experience (Plus): Marketing experience or prior coursework is beneficial.
• College Credit: Ideally, the candidate should be looking to fulfill a college credit requirement. This is negotiable, but candidates not seeking credit must demonstrate exceptional ability for such an important role.
