About the Internship Program

APCO is seeking seniors and recent graduates for its full-time, paid internship program. Interns play a crucial role in assisting with content creation, campaign execution, and market research to amplify APCO’s presence across digital and traditional platforms.

Interns are treated as professional staff, participating in team meetings and actively contributing ideas. This specific internship will be based in APCO’s Washington D.C. office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Marketing team with multiple creative projects.
  • General support, including:
    • Photo sourcing and retouching.
    • Incorporating edits to print and digital projects.
    • Preparing/editing PowerPoint presentations and Word documents.
    • Designing logos and brand identities.
    • File management and archiving.
    • Developing social media graphics.
  • Research and analysis on non-design projects.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate or senior in class standing.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in design, typography, composition, and color.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.).
  • Previous work in an agency or in-house creative team is preferred.
  • Candidates must be team players with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work against tight deadlines.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week.
  • Knowledge of video, animation, and web design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, HTML/CSS is a plus.

Work Hours & Environment:

  • Core Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: This internship will sit in APCO’s Washington D.C. office.
  • Hybrid Work Model: APCO is committed to a hybrid and flexible working environment. Interns may have days to work from home and days to come together in the office to explore the company culture and meet colleagues. A company laptop will be provided to facilitate seamless work from both home and office.

Compensation:

  • This is a paid internship at a fixed hourly rate of $17.95.

  • Application Closing Date: Friday, February 27th.
  • Internship Commencement: Tuesday, June 16th.
  • Internship End Date: Friday, December 11th, 2026.

US Work Authorization Requirement:

  • Requires US Work Authorization. APCO is unable to consider candidates with CPT/OPT/Post-OPT status.
