Job Description: Digital CRM Intern
AARP’s Digital CRM team is seeking a paid intern to join their team in Spring 2025. This is a dynamic role within a team responsible for deploying over 5 billion emails and 50 million SMS messages annually, utilizing cutting-edge marketing technology. The intern will play a crucial role in ensuring business partners deliver the right messages at the right time to the right audiences.
Responsibilities include:
• Embracing Agile Practices: Using agile methodologies to improve back-office processes for technology solutions.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing data to create executive-level quarterly dashboards demonstrating marketing agency performance.
• Issue Management: Handling and prioritizing consumer-reported issues, ensuring timely communication according to service level agreements.
• Market Technology Research: Conducting stakeholder interviews to inform marketing technology platform research.
• Guide Development: Creating “how-to guides” documenting process improvements.
• Digital Librarian: Managing and tagging digital documents for easy searchability.
• Audit Artifacts: Reviewing project artifacts to ensure they meet completion criteria before project closure.
• AI Solution Exploration: Investigating artificial intelligence applications to accelerate business processes and solve complex problems.
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in a Business Technology or Digital Marketing Strategy program at an accredited college or university as a rising undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student (must remain enrolled throughout the internship).
• Self-starter, adaptable, and capable of self-management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate needs, and prioritize work.
• Comfort working with multi-time zone virtual teams and willingness to utilize technology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Willingness to participate in virtual meetings with video enabled.
• Familiarity with IT project management methodologies or AI use case piloting (a plus).
Compensation and Benefits:
• hourly rate: $18 (undergraduates), $21 (graduate students), $28 (Ph.D. candidates).
• Internships are non-exempt and ineligible for employee benefits.
