Job Description: Internship
Weber Shandwick is seeking creative, daring, and digitally savvy interns to join their team. The internship is a full-time (40 hours/week) position running from February to June in Minnesota, with an hourly pay rate of $20.00.
Responsibilities:
The internship involves a diverse range of tasks, including:
• Creative tasks: Crafting written communications (media materials, compelling social content).
• Research: Analyzing brands using various resources.
• Collaboration & Idea Generation: Sharing ideas in brainstorms and team discussions.
• Planning & Logistics: Assisting in event coordination and logistics.
• Media Relations: Pitching stories to media, developing media lists, tracking placements.
• Monitoring: Tracking brands’ performance in traditional and social media.
Required Skills & Qualities:
• Thinking: Creative and outside-the-box thinking is essential.
• Digital Savvy: Proficiency with both established and emerging social media platforms; understanding of brand strategies on these platforms.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and editing skills.
• Time Management & Organization: Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to Detail: A commitment to delivering precise and accurate work.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Hootsuite, Muck Rack, Cision, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Self-Awareness: Understanding of one’s unique strengths and contributions.
