Job Description
Sanford Health is seeking a full-time Dietitian- Endocrinology Clinic to join their team in Bismarck, North Dakota. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program. Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of post graduate internship is also required.
The Dietitian- Endocrinology Clinic will be responsible for providing diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care, and preventive counseling to individuals and groups in all areas of primary and specialty patient/resident care. This includes determining nutritional status through nutritional assessment, developing individualized care plans, providing education and counseling for disease and nutrition risk management, and evaluating the outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
The Dietitian- Endocrinology Clinic will also be responsible for working on nutrition care protocols for the assigned area and acting as a leader for the health care team in the implementation of the nutrition therapies. They will also incorporate new trends and techniques as necessary to design care plans and update standards of care educational material.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program.
• Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of post graduate internship required.
• Currently holds Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
