Description: Dialog Engineer/Prompt Engineer

Role: The Dialog Engineer/Prompt Engineer will play a key role in developing, designing, and maintaining cutting-edge AI-based conversation systems for clients in the Government and Public Services sector.

Responsibilities:

Develop and design AI-based conversation systems: Create smooth and engaging user experiences within these systems.
Refine and optimize prompts: Improve the outcome of Large Language Models (LLMs) through prompt engineering.
Collaborate with client teams: Architect Data Science solutions using NLP, ML, and Generative AI.
Establish standards: Develop and promote standards across the community for AI development and implementation.
Evaluate and select AI tools and models: Determine the most suitable tools and models for various tasks, building and training them using Python and open-source technologies.
Identify AI opportunities: Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to identify potential areas where AI can be leveraged to advance client strategies.
Provide training: Develop and deliver training programs to users across the Government and Public Services landscape on AI model development principles and effective model interaction to facilitate business processes.
Build and prioritize backlog: Identify and prioritize future machine-learning enabled features to support client business processes.

Required Currently pursuings:

• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI level clearance
• 2+ years of professional experience programming in Python or R
• 2+ years of professional experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• 2+ years of professional experience with machine learning modeling
• 2+ years of professional experience with AI algorithms
• Ability to support a hybrid to fulltime schedule onsite in the DC area
• Bachelor’s degree required in an applicable subject
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Previous Government Consulting and/or professional services experience
• In-depth understanding of AI protocols and standards
• Understanding of technology risks and the ability to assess and mitigate them
• Deep knowledge of a specific domain or industry, with a focus on applying NLP/LLM solutions in that context
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting software or solutions design issues
• Proven ability to stay current with best practices and new technology solutions in the field
• Ability to display both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
• Experience presenting to clients or other decision-makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current wage range for this role is $88,800 to $148,000. This range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
