About the Internship

Lockheed Martin is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn a variety of new skills and tools. They will also excel in both team and individual work, and have a good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Providing DevOps assistance to stand-up and maintain integrated software environments used to develop, integrate, test, and deploy mission critical military systems in a lab setting
• Working under the direction of a lead engineer to advance development environments that enable Anti-Submarine Warfare systems vital to our nation’s defense
• Joining a team that currently develops, delivers, and operates fully integrated solutions for military users across the globe

Currently pursuings

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn a variety of new skills & tools
• Excels in both team & individual work
• Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Programming using C++/C, JAVA, Python Language
• Good Math Aptitude, Object Oriented Programming
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• C++/JAVA experience (scripting, development, shells, python, etc.)
• Experience with software installation and testing
• High School course work or lab experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: design, software, robotics or other competition teams related to engineering projects.
