Development Director | Colorado People’s Alliance (COPA)

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role with Colorado People’s Alliance (COPA), located in Denver, Colorado. As Development Director, you will secure the financial resources critical for advancing the organization’s mission. Your leadership in fundraising will enable COPA to empower communities and work towards a more equitable Colorado. This position is central to the sustained impact and growth of the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy: Oversee the formulation and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies.
• Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Fundraising: Secure financial contributions, including grants, major gifts, and planned giving.
• Operations: Manage the development department’s operational plan, budget, and reporting.
• Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated understanding of non-profit fundraising principles and best practices.
• Experience: Proven track record in development or fundraising leadership, commensurate with a Director-level position.
• Skills: Expertise in fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, grant writing, and financial management for non-profit organizations.
