Job Description: Development and Experimental Verification of a Simulink Control Model for an Ink Supply Subsystem

This 3-month internship offers a challenging opportunity to contribute to the advancement of print quality within a dynamic, multidisciplinary R&D environment at Canon Production Printing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and experimentally verifying a comprehensive MATLAB Simulink/Simscape model for the control system of an ink supply subsystem. This model will be crucial for optimizing product and control parameters, and enhancing hardware selection.

Responsibilities:

Develop a Simulink/Simscape model: Create a detailed Simulink or Simscape model of the ink supply subsystem’s control system.
Model Verification: Verify the model’s accuracy through experimental testing, potentially involving the extension of an existing experimental setup.
Real-world Testing: Test the model’s performance in a real-life environment.
Future-Proofing: Extend and adapt the model to accommodate future product iterations.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background: MSc in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics, with demonstrable experience in Systems and Control Engineering.
Technical Skills: Proven experience with MATLAB or similar modeling tools; a strong understanding of flow dynamics is essential.
Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate will be independent, proactive, a team player, and comfortable working hands-on with equipment.
