Job Description: Designer – Summer Internship Program

Ogilvy is seeking the next generation of creative talent – individuals who are insatiably curious, adept at connecting dots, and passionate about making things happen. The Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to leverage a passion for creation into a role at Ogilvy.

Program Overview:
Duration: A 10-week intensive program, running from June to August.
Experience: Interns will gain hands-on experience working with live client briefs and contribute directly to current campaigns and fast-moving projects alongside award-winning creative teams.
Exposure & Mentorship: The program offers wide exposure to different brands and creative leaders, coupled with dedicated mentorship to sharpen craft and provide real-world experience that enhances a professional portfolio.
Focus: This application is specifically for creative craft internships. Separate applications are available for Business & Strategy roles on Ogilvy’s careers page.

What We’re Looking For (Designer):
Ogilvy is interested in applicants’ thought processes as much as their past work.
Portfolio Requirement: A link to a portfolio or sample of work is mandatory for consideration, showcasing creative process and unique point of view.
Design Expertise: Candidates should possess a deep interest in design principles, philosophy, techniques, tools, and current trends, with an eagerness to learn the latest developments in design. Experience or exploration in visual motion, 2D, 3D, and other areas is valued.
Analytical & Conceptual Skills: Must be logical, analytical, and understand the value of design in solving human problems. The ability to think conceptually and possess a discerning editing eye is crucial.
Interpersonal Skills: Candidates should be empathetic, collaborative, and able to communicate clearly.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Adaptability: Adapting to a fast-paced environment and learning new design software.
Support: Supporting the design team.
Design Tasks: Designing visuals for various mediums and assisting with pulling scrap (reference materials) for projects.

The Fine Print:
Locations: The 2026 Summer Internship Program will be offered in Ogilvy’s Chicago and New York offices.
Model: This is a full-time (35-40 hours a week) paid internship that operates in a hybrid model, with 3-4 days expected to be in the office.
Commutable Distance: Interns must be located within a commutable distance of their chosen office by the program’s start in June to fully immerse themselves in the collaborative culture.
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Must have current and future U.S. work authorization.
• Must submit a link to a portfolio or sample of work.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $20—$25 USD per hour.
Variation: Individual compensation may vary based on job-related factors including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
