Job Description:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Design Requirements and Analysis Engineer for their Orlando location. This role focuses on the generation and verification of system and subsystem-level requirements for a classified project (likely related to missile systems given the Business Unit and Desired Skills).
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate and verify system and subsystem level requirements.
• Perform requirements analysis and execute trade studies.
• Establish requirements traceability and flow down.
• Prepare specifications and manage requirements using the DOORS requirement database.
• Apply MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) principles and generate Cameo models.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and IPT (Integrated Product Team) leads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering (Undeclared), or Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• US Citizenship (required for security clearance).
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment.
• Familiarity with system design concepts and tradeoffs.
• Experience with DOORS (or similar requirements management tool) and Cameo modeling.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Demonstrated analytical prowess using MATLAB or Excel.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with aerospace product development processes.
Desired Skills:
• Working experience in Cameo and/or DOORS.
• Experience with C++; MATLAB experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of missile system concepts.
• Prior experience with DoD projects.
Security Clearance:
This position requires a government security clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory. The required clearance level is Secret.
Work Arrangement:
The position offers part-time remote telework, with the specific schedule to be determined during the hiring process. A 4×10 hour day schedule (3 days off per week) is offered.
