What You’ll Do & Learn: Key Responsibilities

As a Design Intern, you will play an integral role in our design process, learning from industry leaders and contributing to real-world products. You will:

• Drive Design Excellence: Help shape and deliver high-quality design artifacts, including intuitive UI components, clear wireframes, pixel-perfect visual layouts, and engaging interactive prototypes, always striving for visual and functional excellence.
• Leverage Cutting-Edge Tools: Rapidly adopt and master our advanced design systems and visual frameworks, enhanced by Artificial Intelligence, to ensure consistency, accelerate project timelines, and maintain strong brand alignment across all customer touchpoints.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with experienced Senior Designers and diverse cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineering, Research) to deeply understand complex customer challenges and apply robust design thinking methodologies to discover and validate elegant, user-centric solutions.
• Embrace Iteration & Discovery: Operate with speed and a strong bias for learning, utilizing rapid, iterative prototyping to test assumptions, gather crucial data, and swiftly move from initial insights to impactful execution.
• Contribute to Design Critique: Actively seek and synthesize diverse feedback from peers and partners, contributing constructively and respectfully to design reviews to challenge assumptions and inform the optimal design decisions.
• Build Strong Partnerships: Cultivate robust, collaborative relationships with engineering, product management, and research teams to ensure seamless alignment and drive tasks to successful completion with exceptional results.

Who You Are: Qualifications

We are seeking innovative and driven individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Academic Pursuit: Must be currently enrolled in a U.S.-based degree-seeking program (or the equivalent) in Design, or another program closely related to design, with a projected graduation date no sooner than December 2026.
• Showcase Your Talent: Possess an online portfolio that boldly showcases a high standard of design excellence, thoughtfully articulating your creative process and problem-solving journey.
• Design Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite. You should also exhibit a strong command of various prototyping methods and a clear aptitude for quickly building and learning new technologies.
• Passion for Impact: Hold a deep passion for design and the intrinsic drive to create products that not only resonate with customers on an emotional level but also clearly translate into meaningful business impact and enhanced customer prosperity.
• Clear Communication: Possess the ability to articulate complex problems simply, proposing innovative and elegant solutions, clearly communicating the profound impact of your designs, and providing a logical framework to support your conclusions.

Intuit is proud to offer a competitive compensation package founded on a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The pay offered will be based on various factors, including your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To uphold our commitment to ongoing fair pay for all employees, Intuit rigorously conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this rewarding internship position is: $39.18 – $48.32 per hour.
