The Opportunity: Design Engineering Co-Op Program

The Teradyne Cooperative Education and Internship program is meticulously designed to provide meaningful, fast-paced, and real-life work experiences that align directly with your career and academic aspirations. This program offers practical work experience within a dynamic business environment, providing a genuine opportunity to contribute and add significant value to the organization.

We are actively seeking a Design Engineering Co-Op to collaborate closely with Engineers in our DC Engineering Group. This role will focus on debugging and design verification of next-generation instrumentation, specifically for mobile power and image power devices.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineering Co-Op, you will work hands-on with Engineers in the Group on the following activities:

  • Conducting Design Verification of Hardware in automated processes, utilizing essential equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, and Generators.
  • Engaging in the development of simulations and prototypes.
  • Debugging issues with Hardware directly in the lab environment.
  • Collecting and reviewing data to assess margin to specifications.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Currently working towards a senior year in a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) program.
  • Demonstrated hands-on lab experience with instrumentation, including Oscilloscopes.
  • Strong interest and experience in working with DC circuitry.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to absorb, assimilate, and synthesize information quickly.
  • Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, “hands-on,” and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available to work full-time during summer break.
  • Must be available to work on-site at our North Reading, MA location.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior Teradyne Co-Op / Internship experience.
  • Knowledge and experience related to Teradyne processes and products.
  • Prior experience working on Teradyne Testers.

Important Logistics:

  • We are only considering candidates local to the North Reading, MA area.
  • Relocation assistance is NOT provided for this position.
  • This position is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.

Compensation

The base hourly range for this role is $25.50 – $47.00. This range serves as a good-faith estimate, and the final hourly rate will correspond with the candidate’s experience and skill set. This range may also fluctuate depending on market demand and specific location factors.
