About Lockheed Martin Greenville Sustainment Team:

Lockheed Martin Greenville Sustainment Team is responsible for Depot level maintenance, repair, and delivery of F-16 aircraft to their customers. They are looking for a Depot APG Maintenance, F-16 Technician to join their team.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Possess knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance, including:
• Landing gear
• Powerplants
• Flight controls
• Rigging
• Aircraft movement
• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Perform various physical tasks, including:
• Grasp, handle, and feel objects
• Reach with hands and arms
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist
• Lift and/or push/pull up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive movements and work overhead
• Work in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area
• Properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures
• Fulfill mission-essential functions and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• 8+ years of experience on fighter aircraft or other military aircraft, with knowledge of various aircraft systems including:
• Landing gear
• Flight controls
• Disassembly, re-assembly, and rigging
• Powerplant
• Aircraft ground operations and the flight line environment

Desired Skills:

• F-16 Crew Chief experience, USAF level 5 or higher
• Heavy Aircraft Mod or Depot experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
• Understanding of symbols, flags, and general notes in technical documents
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
• High school education or equivalent (GED)
