Job Description: Delivery Specialist
The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate company vehicles for deliveries.
• Use delivery fleet management devices for processing deliveries and capturing signatures.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily inspections.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected money.
• Pick up customer returns.
• Communicate customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damage.
• Ensure fuel tank is full and secure vehicle.
• Clock in/out according to policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and handling core returns.
• Assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising as needed.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:
Required:
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record meeting company standards.
• Valid state driver’s license and meeting company driving eligibility.
Desired:
• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
Compensation:
• Pay Range: $14.00 – $22.00 per hour.
• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Additional compensation: annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
