About the Job

Store employees are responsible for maintaining well-stocked inventory, assisting customers with product selection, and providing expert advice to enhance the shopping experience. As a Delivery Driver, you will be part of an energizing culture rooted in people and a commitment to delivering “WOW!” Customer Service. You will utilize your safe driving skills and enjoy career stability with endless growth opportunities within an essential industry. AutoZone provides company-provided vehicles, and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence & Communication: Deliver “WOW!” Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice, and offering installation services.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts, ensuring smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
- Metrics Mindedness & Process Orientation: Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while strictly following company policies.
- Delivery Operations: Drive company-provided vehicles, ensuring safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers. Accurately load and unload parts according to route schedules.
- Returns & Pickups: Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors as part of delivery routes.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment for yourself and others.
- Cash & Charge Transactions: Process customer payments securely and in accordance with established company policies.
- Product Knowledge & Fleet Maintenance: Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems. Responsibly maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Valid Driver’s License & Safety Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements to ensure responsible and secure vehicle operation.
- Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required to assist customers effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise safely and efficiently.
You’ll Go The Extra Mile If You Have
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Exceptional Communication: Strong people skills and effective communication abilities in both Spanish and English.
- Automotive Retail: Previous experience in automotive retail or a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
- Hazmat Endorsement Preferred: A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement is a plus, as it helps ensure proper handling and transportation of regulated materials in compliance with safety standards.
