The Tone:
This is an early-career opportunity, 100% remote for candidates based in the United States or Canada. Our partner company is seeking to build a high-quality pipeline of businesses that may become acquisition targets by identifying promising opportunities. This role is crucial for researching companies and markets, building relationships with brokers and owners, and performing initial opportunity assessments. Your work directly supports the acquisition strategy by identifying and qualifying opportunities before handing the strongest prospects to the deal team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Research markets, companies, marketplaces, and other channels to identify businesses that fit acquisition criteria.
• Relationships: Build and maintain professional relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and advisers to uncover new deal flow.
• Outreach: Develop targeted lists, verify decision-maker contact information, and conduct thoughtful outreach to potential owners and intermediaries.
• Qualification: Speak directly with owners and intermediaries, understanding their businesses and objectives, and assessing high-level information to qualify opportunities.
• Reporting: Prepare concise opportunity summaries, maintain accurate acquisition CRM records, and monitor pipeline progression for weekly reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Career. 0–3 years of professional experience, ideally with a basic understanding of business fundamentals and financial concepts.
• Experience: Comfort with cold outreach, making outbound calls, persistent follow-up, and handling rejection professionally.
• Skills: Research & Curiosity, Communication, Organization, Analytical Judgment, CRM & AI Tool Proficiency.
• Bonus: Demonstrated resilience, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
