They are seeking database automation engineers at all experience levels.
Description:
This internship involves working on database automation and tool development within the GovCloud database team. The intern will contribute to delivering groundbreaking technology solutions that support the growth and evolving needs of government clients. Specific responsibilities will likely include tasks related to enhancing the efficiency and security of database management systems within a cloud environment.
Required Currently pursuings:
• U.S. Citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) without dual citizenship: This is a critical requirement due to the nature of the work supporting U.S. government clients. Verification will be done using two REAL ID Act documents (U.S. Passport, Passport Card, REAL Driver’s License, Global Entry Card, U.S. Government CAC/PIV).
• Enrollment and progress toward a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field: The candidate must be currently enrolled in a relevant academic program and intend to return to school following the internship.
• North American College/University Attendance: The candidate must be attending an accredited institution in North America.
• Proficiency in Python: Experience and demonstrated skill in using the Python programming language are essential.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience: Familiarity and practical experience with AWS services are required.
• Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) Knowledge: Understanding of RDBMS principles and practical experience is necessary.
• Security Clearance: The candidate must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government and obtain further clearances as needed.
Preferred Currently pursuings:
• Kubernetes Experience: Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration is a plus.
• Cybersecurity Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles is beneficial.
