Job Description: Database Analyst (DBA) Intern
Job Purpose: The Database Analyst Intern will support the database team during open-source projects for various business lines’ products.
Responsibilities:
• Database Maintenance: Entering new and updated information into database records.
• Querying and Reporting: Performing basic queries and generating reports to support ongoing projects.
• Database Optimization: Participating in tasks to optimize databases and ensure data integrity and security.
• Documentation: Documenting database processes and procedures.
• Project Contribution: Contributing individually or as part of a team to support functional areas, analyze business processes, and achieve project goals assigned by an experienced manager.
• Business Partner Engagement: Engaging with business partners and contributing to projects with significant value.
• Other Duties: Performing other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
• Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and at least advancing to their junior year of study.
• SQL Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to write simple queries.
• Database Fundamentals: Understanding of database structures and relationships.
• DBMS Familiarity: Familiarity with at least one database management system (DBMS), such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
• Data Normalization & Indexing: Introductory understanding of data normalization and indexing.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
• Computer Skills: Possesses effective computer skills, with a solid working knowledge of MS Office.
Internship Program Schedule:
• Start Dates: May 12, 2025, or June 9, 2025.
• End Date: August 1, 2025.
• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week.
• Location: Atlanta office.
