Job Description: Database Analyst (DBA) Intern

Job Purpose: The Database Analyst Intern will support the database team during open-source projects for various business lines’ products.

Responsibilities:

Database Maintenance: Entering new and updated information into database records.
Querying and Reporting: Performing basic queries and generating reports to support ongoing projects.
Database Optimization: Participating in tasks to optimize databases and ensure data integrity and security.
Documentation: Documenting database processes and procedures.
Project Contribution: Contributing individually or as part of a team to support functional areas, analyze business processes, and achieve project goals assigned by an experienced manager.
Business Partner Engagement: Engaging with business partners and contributing to projects with significant value.
Other Duties: Performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and at least advancing to their junior year of study.
SQL Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to write simple queries.
Database Fundamentals: Understanding of database structures and relationships.
DBMS Familiarity: Familiarity with at least one database management system (DBMS), such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
Data Normalization & Indexing: Introductory understanding of data normalization and indexing.
Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer Skills: Possesses effective computer skills, with a solid working knowledge of MS Office.

Internship Program Schedule:

Start Dates: May 12, 2025, or June 9, 2025.
End Date: August 1, 2025.
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week.
Location: Atlanta office.
