Job Description: Data Solutions Intern (Summer 2025)
This internship with the Ad Data Solutions team focuses on improving TikTok’s Global Business Solutions-North America (GBS-NA) organization. The intern will contribute to the team’s mission of accelerating growth through data-driven insights and precise analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build strong relationships with various internal teams (Data Engineering, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Commercial stakeholders) to support the development and use of a Measurement Playbook.
• Develop and communicate a measurement vision, roadmap, and knowledge base for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to create data products.
• Conduct analytical experiments to solve business problems across multiple domains.
• Identify and utilize relevant data sources to meet client business needs, working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Communicate analytical findings to stakeholders and implement improvements in operational systems.
• Understand customer needs to build a product backlog and ensure complete measurement.
• Achieve business goals by developing valuable, feasible, and sustainable products and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of data science, algorithmic engineering, or machine learning (through coursework).
• Working knowledge of R, SQL, and Python.
• Basic experience with Git.
• Working knowledge of data visualization software (Tableau, Looker, or Domo).
• Fundamental knowledge of statistics with hands-on experience in A/B testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA testing.
• Ability to support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about different business models.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate technical analysis effectively.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced coursework or experience in data science, algorithmic engineering, or machine learning.
• Advanced knowledge of R, SQL, and Python.
• Advanced experience with Git.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization software (Tableau, Looker, or Domo).
• Strong knowledge of statistics with extensive hands-on experience in A/B testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA testing.
• Experience using business intelligence tools for ad-hoc reporting and data analysis.
• Proven problem-solving skills, strong curiosity, and a passion for understanding business models.
• Ability to communicate complex technical analysis effectively to diverse audiences, including executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
Compensation: The hourly rate is in the range of $25-$25. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays per year, and paid sick time. Specific benefits may vary depending on employment type and location.
