Job Description: Data Scientist Intern
Overview:
This internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students a chance to gain practical experience at Oracle, working alongside industry experts on real-world projects. Interns contribute to actual Oracle products and services, building their professional network and enhancing their skillset. Successful completion may lead to early interview opportunities for full-time roles.

Oracle seeks highly talented students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees to work across multiple teams. The program aims to enhance learning, build professional networks, and accelerate the interns’ impact within the company.
Responsibilities:
Data Scientist Interns will work on various stages of data science projects, including:
• Data pipeline development and aggregation
• Feature engineering
• Model development and implementation to solve real-world business problems
• Data visualization
• Interaction with product and service teams to identify analysis needs
• Communication of analysis findings to product, service, and business managers
The role demands strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative, global team.
Qualifications (Objective Minimum Qualifications – OMQs):
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in a relevant field (Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or equivalent) during the 2024-2025 academic year.
• Completed at least the junior year of their undergraduate degree (or higher) by Summer 2024.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, R, SQL, PL/SQL) through coursework, projects, internships, or research.
• Experience with at least one of the following libraries: Numpy, Scipy, Matplotlib, SciKit, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark.
• Coursework, projects, or research experience in at least two of the following areas: Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Query, Data Mining, Data Modeling, Machine Learning, Statistical Inference/Analysis.
• Attending a university in the US.
• Authorized to work in the US in 2025 (no visa sponsorship available).
• Must be enrolled in university before and after the internship.
Compensation and Benefits (US):
• hourly Rate: $18.99 – $53.00
• Annual Salary: $39,500 – $110,240 (Note: The range reflects variations in experience and other factors.)
