Data Scientist Intern – Summer 2025
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business analytics, experimental design, and predictive machine learning within the Data Science & Analytics department at TruStage.
What you’ll do:
• Collaborate and work independently in a fast-paced, innovative culture.
• Conduct research on projects/files requiring in-depth study and analysis, providing actionable insights to business partners.
• Gather and organize data for reports/projects, conducting statistical tests, developing predictive models, and preparing written reports.
• Resolve problems and issues and participate in meetings.

Requirements:
• Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Experience:
• Enrolled in a relevant graduate program (salary range: $24-$33/hr) or undergraduate program (salary range: $18-$28/hr).
• Preferred degrees: Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related majors.
• Experience in accessing and analyzing data warehouses and relational databases, preferably through the use of SQL.
• Knowledge/experience in some or all of the following:

• Decision Trees
• Common clustering algorithms
• Optimization
• Stochastic Processes
• Recommendation Systems
• Metric Learning
• Multi-Task/Transfer Learning

• Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in data and produce relevant visualizations.
• Knowledge and practical use of R or Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and the desire to learn.
Compensation:
• Base salary range: $24.00 – $33.00 (graduate program) or $18-$28/hr (undergraduate program).
