Job Description: Data Scientist

Skai’s Data Science team focuses on building AI proof of concepts to enhance their product roadmap and enable customers to utilize Skai’s algorithmic products. This role will report to the CTO and is based in Skai’s New York City office.

Responsibilities:

Build and own proof of concepts: From ideation to productization, including client demos and iterative improvements based on feedback.
Client and partner interaction: Represent Skai Research, advocating for their algorithmic solutions and data-driven approaches, providing consultation on optimal setup and leverage of Skai’s optimization products.
Product understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Skai’s optimization capabilities and relevant products for both customer support and internal training.
Research and roadmap contribution: Contribute to the research team, providing client feedback and analysis to inform data-driven decision-making for product roadmap advancement.
Data analysis for clients: Perform customer data analysis using ML and statistical methods, providing clients with insights on A/B test results, attribution strategy comparisons, and more.
Internal tool development: Help build internal tools to automate data analysis, enabling proactive and reactive support for Skai’s optimization products.

Skills/Attributes Required:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with AI/ML/GenAI for business problem-solving.
Proficiency in Python.
SQL expertise – querying data from relational DB engines.
Good understanding of statistics, modeling, and NLP.
Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment, working independently and collaboratively to identify opportunities and deliver impact.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – explaining complex mathematical and analytical concepts to diverse audiences (teams and client executives).
Effective data storytelling abilities.
Strong teamwork skills – both internally and with clients.
Internet marketing industry experience (a plus).
A/B testing knowledge and experience (a plus).

Education/Experience:

BS/BA required (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field (finance, business, engineering, information systems, math, science, etc.).
2+ years of experience in consulting, data science, or marketing analytics roles.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $130,000-145,000, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Quarterly bonus compensation is also available through Skai’s incentive plans.
