The Role:
This Data Sciences Associate I position is a critical part of AbbVie’s commitment to delivering impactful results in clinical trial research. The role will involve collaborating with various teams, including Data & Statistical Sciences and cross-functional study teams, to ensure the successful execution of assigned activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clinical Domain Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of clinical trial concepts and be able to effectively interpret cross-functional protocol requirements.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Leverage your skills in Python and R to analyze and interpret clinical trial data.
• Database Management: Demonstrate proficiency in working with various databases, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Postgres, along with strong RDBMS concepts and SQL skills.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with colleagues within the Data & Statistical Sciences department and cross-functional study teams to achieve project goals.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Apply your analytical skills to address complex challenges and identify innovative solutions.
• Leadership & Initiative: Contribute to the advancement of the team and organization through proactive problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated success as a key contributor to projects and initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and a collaborative approach.
Valued Skills (Good to Have):
• Experience with Unix shell scripting.
• PL/SQL and Oracle APEX knowledge.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Spotfire.
• Proficiency in front-end web development technologies, including NodeJS, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax.
