Job Description: Data Science Intern
This internship offers a deep dive into the world of analytics, providing hands-on experience shaping data-driven decision-making at Hyundai. Interns will partner with various business units to drive innovation and insight across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Work on analytics projects related to customer and vehicle data.
• Pre-process, clean, and analyze large datasets.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis.
• Create new input features and build end-to-end data pipelines for machine learning models.
• Develop machine learning models using advanced statistical techniques.
• Leverage machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniques for unstructured data analysis (insight uncovering, topic detection, keyword extraction, sentiment analysis).
• Present data and analysis clearly and concisely.
• Respond to emails, calls, and in-person inquiries and requests.
• Participate in meetings, take notes, publish action items, and follow up on next steps.
• Interface with IT and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform other assignments and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
• Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program.
• Expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Local to Fountain Valley, CA (National Headquarters) – no relocation assistance offered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
• High school graduate.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related functional field.
Additional Notes:
• Full-time paid internship (June-August 2025).
• Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4 days per week).
• Compensation: $25.00/hour.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Work hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday).
