Data Science Intern Job Description:

Padagis is seeking a current college student or recent graduate to work as a Data Science Intern. This role will involve working closely with our Commercial Team to provide data analysis and support for modeling initiatives, and to support ongoing business planning and analytics needs. This is a part-time, temporary position targeting 20 hours per week hybrid/on-site at our Wyoming, Michigan location, September-December 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Performing detailed analysis to deliver insights and support analytics initiatives.
• Working closely with the Commercial Team to provide data analysis and support for modeling initiatives.
• Creating data visualization dashboards using Power BI.
• Supporting data exploration to evaluate ideas for new analytics use case opportunities.
• Performing other ongoing data analytics work as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Incoming juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
• Pursuing an undergraduate/grad degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related business discipline.
• Open to learning, providing feedback, and/or receiving feedback on performance.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical capabilities – being able to see things differently than others with substance and relevance.
• Coding in Python or R for statistical modeling and integrations into BI platforms (desired, but not required).
• Available to work roughly 20 hours/week for up to twelve (12) weeks in the Fall (Sep-Dec) of 2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coding in Python or R for statistical modeling and integrations into BI platforms.
