Job Description: Data, Marketing Tech & Web Intern

The Integrated Marketing team at Disney Southeast Asia is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity, and promotion of movies and shows released in cinemas and on streaming services (Disney+ / Disney+ Hotstar) in the region. They manage a portfolio of brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century, and National Geographic, providing unparalleled access to the company’s incredible slate of feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series, renowned classics, and short-form content.

Integrated Marketing’s Digital team spearheads organic and paid activity across owned, earned, and paid social and digital channels. This includes crafting engaging social content, delivering high-impact digital advertising, developing insights-driven strategy planning, integrating robust data & marketing technology, and embracing innovation. Their mission is to drive brand and title awareness, social buzz, and achieve business goals for movie ticket sales and Disney+ subscriber retention.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to delve into web content management as a core function, while also gaining exposure to open-source web application development, AWS hosting and products, database administration, system-to-system data ETL/migration, and data analytics platforms. The role offers a chance to contribute to a variety of tasks, including:

Web Content Management: Assist with web content management operations, website maintenance, and content optimization.
Digital Technologies & Platforms: Support various digital technologies, platforms, and processes.
Audience Tracking & Analytics: Help implement tracking for audience behaviours and conversions across digital channels.
Data Processing & Visualization: Aid in data processing, distribution, and visualization, supporting reporting dashboards, POC creation, and data analysis.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate tasks and projects with global tech teams and agencies.
Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Digital Marketing, Business, Computer Science).
• Strong understanding of content production principles, data analytics, social media analytics, or related disciplines.
• Web production skills including content management, website maintenance, and content optimization.
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Ability to understand the value of automation and confidently communicate effectively with business partners and top management.

Good to Have:

• Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence/Datorama).
• Basic data science skills and knowledge of big data technologies.
• Experience with BI reporting tools, basic data science skills, and marketing software.
• Knowledge of databases, AI/ML, and big data technologies.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of enthusiasm for collaboration.
• Passionate team player with a never-ending curiosity and ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with good communication skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.

This full-time internship is available from January to June 2025 (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm). Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and not yet graduated during the internship period.
