The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time. Work Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 6:00pm-2:30am, Overtime as needed.
• Location: In-person, Houston, TX
• Mission: To ensure the timely and accurate entry and secure storage of patient test results, supporting essential laboratory operations and facilitating precise client communication regarding health information.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, various specialized laboratory systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry: Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient results into various laboratory systems.
• Document Management: Print and meticulously distribute daily worksheets for technical staff.
• Record Keeping: Ensure all entered test results are stored in their proper and secure locations.
• Client Communication: Contact clients to provide test results when necessary, adhering to established protocols.
• Operational Support: Order necessary supplies for the department to maintain operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent.
• Experience: Demonstrate strong data entry and proficient typing skills.
• Skills: Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, comfort handling biological specimens, the ability to accurately identify specimens, experience working effectively in a team environment, and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with a willingness to learn new applications. The role also requires the ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Bonus: Prior or current experience working with Labcorp, at least 1 year of experience specifically in a data entry position, at least 1 year of experience within the healthcare industry (such as a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital), or at least 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment.
