Description: Data Delivery and Engineering Intern
MGIC is seeking a hardworking and curious intern to join their evolving Data Delivery and Engineering team. This is a full-time summer internship with the potential to become a year-round position. The role is based in their downtown Milwaukee, WI headquarters and offers an onsite/hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize programming skills to design, develop, and test data pipelines for ingesting data into a Cloud data platform.
• Enhance and maintain existing data pipelines built using Cloud tools.
• Troubleshoot data issues and data pipelines.
• Ensure data consistency and reliability within the Cloud data platform.
• Gain exposure to technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Fivetran, and Dbt.
Currently pursuings:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, business analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
• Proficiency or exposure to SQL and Python.
• Collaborative and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Demonstrated creative thinking, proactive in seeking additional work, and strong initiative.
