Job Description, Detailed

Job Title: Data Associate Intern
Duration: 8 months

Role Overview:
The Data Associate Intern will be a key member of the Zymewire Data Team. The primary responsibility involves reviewing and analyzing news content from pharma/biotech company web sources. This information will then be integrated into Zymewire, where it will be processed through data and machine learning to become actionable for users. The intern will collaborate daily with the rest of the Zymewire data team on various tasks and projects to ensure users receive the most up-to-date industry activity relevant to their sales and marketing efforts.

Eligibility Requirements (due to Student Work Placement Program assistance):
• Must be registered full-time or part-time in a publicly funded Ontario post-secondary institution.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including specific province legislation and regulations.

• Enjoys hunting for information on the web.
• Possesses an interest in the biotech/pharma industry.
• Highly organized.
• Self-starter, proactive, and curious.
• Very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets.
• Tech-savvy and enthusiastic about working for a software company.
• Detail-oriented and enjoys solving puzzles.
• Possesses contagious enthusiasm.

Salary: $3200 per month

Working Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST
• Sunday: 3.5 hours
• Flexibility in hours can be discussed.

Location: Remote, anywhere in Ontario.

Start Date: September 2nd, 2025
