About the Job: Data Associate Intern

Job Title: Data Associate Intern
Duration: 8 months
Team: Zymewire Data Team
Reporting To: Not explicitly stated, but works closely with the rest of the Zymewire data team.

Main Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze news content sourced from pharma/biotech company web sources.
• Integrate this analyzed content into Zymewire, making it actionable for users through data and machine learning processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Zymewire data team on various daily tasks and projects to ensure Zymewire users receive the most up-to-date industry activity for their sales and marketing efforts.

Eligibility Requirements (Student Work Placement Program – SWPP):
This position is funded with assistance from the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), requiring candidates to meet specific criteria:
• Must be registered full-time or part-time in a publicly funded Ontario post-secondary institution.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including specific provincial legislation and regulations for Ontario.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who:
• Enjoys hunting for information on the web.
• Has an interest in the biotech/pharma industry.
• Is highly organized.
• Is a self-starter, proactive, and curious.
• Is very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets.

• Possesses contagious enthusiasm.

Compensation:
Salary: $3200 per month.

Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST
• Sunday: 3.5 hours
• Flexibility in working hours can be discussed.

Location:
• Remote, anywhere in Ontario.

Start Date:
• September 2nd, 2025.
