Data Analytics Internship: Data & Analytics Tech+ Team

This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to CohnReznick’s Digital Advisory Group, which works across all Advisory industries and service lines to empower clients with forward-looking, change-resilient solutions.

Responsibilities of the internship:

Gather evidence from data and research: Support client deliverables and outcomes tracking by assembling compelling evidence.
Refine evidence-based models and insights: Continuously improve models and insights based on tracked outcomes.
Understand client needs and project requirements: Capture key client needs and project requirements in writing, applying them in planning with delivery teams.
Develop understanding of client personas and their use stories: Compile business and technical requirements documents and assemble them into test & acceptance plans.
Conduct research: Accumulate and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, including public, client, and firm resources.
Contribute to data analytics models: Develop and apply robust data analytics models in leading technologies like Microsoft Fabric/Synapse, Snowflake, AWS, and Google Big Query.
Support data integration plans: Develop data integration plans, blueprints, and engineering using data pipelines and ELT methods as part of broader data solutions.
Ensure data integrity and quality: Implement efficient data integrity and quality controls to accurately reflect source systems in target models.
Contribute to reference data architecture: Understand and apply CohnReznick’s reference data architecture and standards in data service and solution design and development.
Support dashboard development: Contribute to the development of dashboards, analytic models, reports, and other client data visualization models.
Grow skills with experience and training: Gain practical experience and participate in training-based learning.
Communicate economic concepts: Interact with senior staff, leadership, and clients to communicate economic concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Demonstrate creativity and efficiency: Efficiently utilize relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.
Apply critical thinking skills: Utilize critical thinking skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Collaborate in a team environment: Participate in a team environment and strive to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.

Required qualifications:

• Introductory experience with MS SQL, MS Azure Cloud, MS Azure DataBricks, PowerBI, or other Analytics development toolsets (prior internship experience in these areas is a plus).
• Basic understanding of business processes and organization.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing solutions with leading technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Progress towards a master’s or bachelor’s degree in data analytics, math, or statistics (or a minor in a related field).
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• 0-1 years of experience, including internships.
• Proven capability with MS Excel and relational database programs (e.g., MS SQL Server, SSAS, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Tableau, Alteryx, MS Access, MySQL, Oracle, or Teradata).
• Desire to expand existing capabilities.
• Experience with statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R) is desirable but not required.
