Job Description:

The Data Analyst Intern will play a crucial role in finance and operations analytics at EyeCare Partners. This internship will provide valuable experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement projects. The intern will work on-site in the Ballwin, Missouri office three days a week, including Mondays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

• Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and data sources.
• Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to visualize key metrics and insights.
• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Assist in data cleaning, validation, and transformation tasks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and generate actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
• Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and results.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL query writing and database management systems.
• Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Must possess strong initiative and take ultimate ownership of work.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) for data manipulation and modeling.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Advanced degree in analytics related fields.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater.
• Students graduating on or before May 2025.

Additional Details:

• Pay range: $27 – $30/hr based on prior experiences and other factors.
• Weekly commitment: 24 hours or 3 business days a week.
• Work on-site at the Ballwin office 3 days a week, including Mondays and Thursdays.
• The internship is expected to start in September or October 2024, with flexible start and end dates.
• There is the opportunity for a full-time position following the successful completion of the internship.
• Candidates must live in St. Louis, Missouri to be considered for this opportunity.
