This role is crucial for advancing the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, managing cyber risk, implementing security controls, and strengthening the company’s overall security posture, ensuring security supports innovation while protecting the enterprise.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Up to 35 hours per week
• Location: New York, NY
• Pay: $20 hourly
• Team: Sits within the Cybersecurity Operations team and partners directly with the Deputy CISO.
• Mission: Advance enterprise cybersecurity priorities and execution through strategic coordination, program tracking, operational initiatives, and executive communications.
• Tech Stack: Jira, Smartsheet, Asana

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Support: Partner with the Deputy CISO to advance cybersecurity strategic initiatives, translating executive direction into structured plans, timelines, and action items.
• Program Coordination: Track progress across multiple security initiatives (e.g., AI governance, vulnerability management, SecOps improvements) and maintain dashboards or milestone trackers.
• Analysis: Conduct structured research to support strategic decision-making, synthesizing technical and business inputs into clear, actionable insights.
• Communication: Prepare leadership updates and summaries for senior stakeholders, capturing key decisions and contributing to consistent messaging across security initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Early Career degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Experience: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; experience creating presentations for leadership audiences is preferred.
• Skills: Strong written communication, strong verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, structured thinking.
• Bonus: Interest in cybersecurity, governance, AI risk, or enterprise technology; familiarity with project management tools; basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (risk, vulnerability, incident response, IAM, etc.).
