Cybersecurity Engineering Internship at Bechtel
Bechtel’s internship program offers hands-on experience and a potential pathway to a career at the company. This particular internship focuses on Cybersecurity Engineering, where interns will work in multi-disciplinary teams providing support for Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity services. This could involve:
• Assisting with control system network design development.
• Evaluating vendor cybersecurity products and writing evaluations results.
• Working with NIST-based and other standards for cybersecurity work activities.
• Setting up and troubleshooting cybersecurity test configurations.
• Providing logic and Human Machine Interface programming for cybersecurity testing rigs.
• Assisting with patch management activities.
• Providing status of ongoing design and development activities.
• Working on special projects, like the ICS Trainer System.
Qualifications:
• Education: Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mech Engineering at an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the above fields.
• Eligibility: Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Location: Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
• Background: Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Master of Science degree program in Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
• Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Location: Internship locations will vary based on project needs and may include Houston, TX, Reston, VA, or various project sites.
