Internship Overview And Responsibilities:
This internship offers motivated college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the operations of state government while obtaining valuable on-the-job training in the field of cybersecurity. Key responsibilities may include:
• Investigatory Process Participation: Engaging with mission partners to identify root causes for security events by evaluating anomalous activity and fine-tuning systems to reduce frequent false positives.
• Forensic Analysis Support: Assisting in the forensic analysis of various data sources, including network packet captures, live memory captures, drive acquisitions, malware samples, and logs from different security sensors, applications, and operating systems.
• Process Development and Documentation: Contributing to the development, refinement, and documentation of processes, metrics, and templates to enhance the overall effectiveness of operational procedures.
• Risk Management Activities: Participating in activities such as identifying, tracking, and documenting potential IT and cybersecurity risks, and supporting the development of mitigation strategies and comprehensive risk assessments.

• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Accuracy: High level of accuracy required in data entry and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
