About Job Description: Cyber Intern (Summer 2026)

Role Title: Cyber Intern
Location: Chantilly, VA; Melbourne, FL
Term: Summer 2026

REDLattice is seeking motivated and innovative college students to join their Offensive Cyber Operations Team as Cyber Interns for the summer of 2026. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside top experts in the field, gaining hands-on experience in solving complex security challenges. The role is ideal for students aspiring to a career in cybersecurity, particularly those looking to enhance their skills in Computer Network Operations (CNO) and Mobile Vulnerability Research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solving challenging security problems through dedicated vulnerability research and software development efforts.
• Conducting reverse engineering, comprehensive vulnerability analysis, and exploit development specifically for mobile and embedded systems.
• Collaborating effectively within small teams or working independently to develop innovative offensive cybersecurity tools and methodologies.
• Engaging in low-level system and operating system development and research.
• Providing support for and enhancing existing codebases, as well as contributing to the development of new projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrable previous coursework and/or practical experience in reverse engineering using modern tools such as Ghidra, Binary Ninja, gdb, etc.
• Possession of a strong work ethic, an eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude.
• Must be eligible to receive a US Security Clearance.

Desired Skills (Preferred):

• Ideally a rising junior or senior in their academic program.
• Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
• Familiarity with Git and contemporary software engineering practices.
• Basic knowledge of mobile security, embedded systems, and network protocols.
• A strong passion for continuously learning about cutting-edge offensive cyber techniques and tools.

This internship aims to foster the growth of participants’ skills in offensive cyber operations while allowing them to contribute to real-world projects critical to protecting the nation’s digital landscape.
