Job Description:

This is a Cyber Engineering Internship for Summer 2025 at HII – Mission Technologies. It’s a temporary, part-time position designed to provide college students with training and development in the cybersecurity field. The intern will be mentored by experienced engineers and scientists, assisting with tasks like:

• Cybersecurity assessments
• Vulnerability analyses
• Penetration testing
• Test plan development
• System and network testing
• Data analysis
• Documenting findings
• Researching cyber threats
• Prototyping security tools
• Assisting in the development of cybersecurity solutions

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree with up to 20% of the required credits completed.
• Preference for Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Computer Engineering or similar degrees.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future.
• Knowledge of defense-related technology and relevant regulations/compliance standards is a plus.
