Job Description
This is a Cyber Engineering Internship for Summer 2025 at HII – Mission Technologies. It’s a temporary position designed to prepare college students for the workforce through training and development. The intern will be mentored by experienced engineers and scientists and will assist with tasks like cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute to test plan development.
• Assist with system and network testing.
• Analyze test data.
• Document findings.
• Support R&D projects by researching cyber threats.
• Prototype security tools.
• Assist in the development of cybersecurity solutions.
Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree with up to 20% of the required credits completed.
• Preferred degrees include Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of defense-related technology and relevant regulations is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
