Job Description:

This is a Cyber Engineering Internship for Summer 2025 with HII – Mission Technologies. The intern will be mentored by experienced engineers and scientists, observing and assisting with tasks such as cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to test plan development, assist with system and network testing, analyze test data, document findings.
• Support R&D projects by researching cyber threats, prototyping security tools, and assisting in the development of cybersecurity solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree with up to 20% of the required credits completed.
• Preference for Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Computer Engineering or similar degrees.
• Minimum requirement of a cumulative 3.0 GPA while participating in this internship.
• Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future is also required.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of defense-related technology and understanding of relevant regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
