Crop Inputs Retail Summer Internship:
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the agricultural sector. You will learn about various aspects of the crop input retail business, including:
• Agronomy: Learn to identify weeds, crop diseases, insects, and nutrient deficiencies. You will work with the Agronomy and Sales team to plan and execute customer events and help set up customer demonstration trials.
• Operations/Grain: Gain experience in the operations of a grain elevator, including loading and unloading rail cars, moving grain, maintenance, and general day-to-day duties.
• Retail Sales: Assist with retail activities like receiving and shipping crop input merchandise, familiarize yourself with fertilizers and pesticides, and learn to provide product recommendations and solutions to customers.

Details:
• Duration: At least 16 weeks
• Pay: hourly rate for time worked
• Benefits: Housing assistance and relocation reimbursement (based on mileage)
• Vehicle and Technology: A vehicle, cell phone, and other required technology will be provided.
• Locations: Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (specific locations listed in the job description).
Required Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma: Graduating between December 2025 and August 2027
• Availability: Able to complete a 16-week internship from May to August 2025
• Valid Driver’s License: Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license in good standing
• Physical Abilities: Able to work in various weather conditions and potential exposure to sun, wind, rain, pollen, dust, and insects
• Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills and comfortable working independently
• Legal Eligibility: Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
• Major: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, or Soils Science
• Experience: Previous agriculture experience, sales experience, and/or scouting experience
• Flexibility: Geographically flexible and willing to relocate
