About the Job: CRM Data Management Intern
Hyperion Materials & Technologies invites a proactive and analytically-minded college student to join our team as a CRM Data Management Intern. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in systematically enhancing the quality and integrity of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This system is a vital tool for our sales and marketing teams, and your contributions will directly impact our ability to effectively reach and engage with prospects and customers globally.
This internship offers invaluable hands-on experience across various facets of database responsibility, providing a unique insight into how robust data management underpins successful sales and marketing strategies in an international setting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Automation Specialist, contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing our database. The primary goal is to empower our marketing, segment, and revenue operations teams to expand their reach, identify new prospects, deepen customer relationships, and ultimately drive business growth. While the role encourages independent work, it also involves key collaborative efforts across the marketing and revenue operations teams to achieve organizational objectives and deliver impactful CRM improvements. Key responsibilities include:
- Database Segmentation Projects:
- Proactively identify areas for improvement within our segmentation data to enhance its completeness and accuracy.
- Execute comprehensive plans to uplift the quality of segmentation data, ensuring it effectively supports and drives targeted marketing campaigns.
- Perform detailed data extraction to pinpoint missing or incorrect data points.
- Research and identify new, relevant data sources to enrich existing records.
- Collaborate with segment managers to align data points with strategic segmentation requirements.
- Prepare and manage data loads into the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Data Cleansing Projects:
- Methodically identify obsolete, redundant, or inaccurate records within the CRM system that are related to sales and marketing activities.
- Develop and execute thorough data cleansing projects, ensuring data hygiene and relevance.
- Actively solicit and incorporate feedback from key stakeholders within revenue operations and marketing to refine cleansing strategies and outcomes.
- CRM Training and Documentation:
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing training materials, including documents and videos, related to critical CRM marketing functionalities.
- Create new, intuitive training resources to facilitate user proficiency and adoption of CRM marketing features.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who meets the following criteria:
Education and/or Work Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, or Business with an analytics specialization.
- A strong academic record demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Successfully completed at least two years of college education by the start of the internship.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Excel through academic coursework and/or professional experience, particularly for data manipulation and analysis.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems is considered a significant advantage, showcasing an aptitude for CRM platforms.
- Possesses effective and strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
- A proven ability to develop and foster positive working relationships within a cross-functional team environment, promoting collaboration and communication.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills, coupled with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- A quick learner with the ability to rapidly comprehend complex CRM systems and large datasets, understanding their structure and functionality.
