Job Description
This is a robust internship opportunity specifically designed for Criminal Justice majors who are seeking to complete their Undergraduate degree. The intern will be working with Wheeler Clinic’s Alternative in the Community (AIC) program. While specific day-to-day duties are not detailed, the internship offers exposure and involvement in a range of community-based intervention services for adults, which include:
• Substance use intervention
• Trauma groups
• Skill building
• Job development and placement
• Case management
• Educational, basic needs, and vocational supports
• Gender-responsive programming
The role will provide hands-on experience in assessing individual needs and implementing strategies to reduce their involvement in the criminal justice system.
