Credit Risk Associate – C&SI Middle Market Corporate | JPMorgan Chase

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at JPMorgan Chase, located in Bangalore, India. This position is central to the firm’s responsible management of risk, specifically within the Commercial Banking division’s Middle Markets team. You will contribute to solving real-world financial challenges for the company, its customers, and communities by providing comprehensive credit risk insights. • Team: Middle Markets team in Commercial Banking division, working with North America based Clients.
• Mission: Manages credit risk for Corporate clients by conducting credit analysis and portfolio management, ensuring responsible risk management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Portfolio Management: Independently manage assigned client portfolios, preparing credit analysis and recommending changes to credit ratings and facilities.
• Credit Term Negotiation & Documentation: Assist in negotiating credit terms with senior credit officers and lead the finalization of credit agreements and amendments.
• Capital Market Transaction Support: Provide support for due diligence on capital market transactions for clients.
• New Business Development & Onboarding: Collaborate with Approvers/Senior Credit Officers in North America to evaluate prospects, onboard new clients, and structure new facilities.
• Stakeholder Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships and open communication with various Lines of Business, including Credit Officers and Bankers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post graduate degree; expertise in corporate credit risk analysis.
• Experience: 3-7 years in corporate credit risk analysis, with at least 2 years managing clients.
• Skills: In-depth understanding of financial statements (ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, accounting standards); strong communication and interpersonal skills to present analysis and build relationships; strong grasp of corporate finance concepts and their application, with close attention to detail and accuracy; aptitude to learn and develop knowledge on credit analysis techniques, sectors, and global economies.
• Bonus: Prior experience with Heavy Equipment Dealers.
