The Credit Internship Program:

This structured, comprehensive program provides interns with a deep understanding of the credit and risk domain within Truist. The program combines core curriculum with multiple Line of Business track options, allowing interns to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field.

Program Structure:

The internship program encompasses three dimensions:

Education: Participants receive training through large group sessions, small group interactions, and self-study modules.
Exposure: Interns have opportunities to engage with Executive Leaders, senior management, various lines of business, industry specialists, training experts, and other Truist interns.
Experience: Through daily work in their specific track, interns gain valuable practical experience and make meaningful contributions to the business.

Key Program Components:

Truist Acumen: Understanding Truist’s culture, values, and strategic direction.
Leadership Skills: Developing leadership capabilities and effective communication skills.
Financial Services Acumen: Building a strong foundation in financial services principles and concepts.
Innovation & Technology: Exploring the latest trends in financial technology.
Risk Governance and Assurance: Gaining knowledge of risk management frameworks and practices.
Professional Skills: Enhancing professional development and networking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Learn a wide range of concepts, programs, and services related to Truist’s business lines.
• Develop and enhance analytical, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
• Contribute to special projects and assignments outside of the formal training program.
• Embody Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
• Participate in additional training as recommended by the manager.
• Engage in business rotations, working on projects and business-as-usual activities.

Qualifications:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (with a preference for business-related concentrations, accounting, and/or finance coursework).
• 3.0+ GPA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong initiative and demonstrated leadership.
• Enthusiasm for a career in financial services.
• General knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Willingness to travel for on-the-job training.
• Ability to relocate to the internship location.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
