Job Description: Credit Internship
The Credit Internship is a structured and comprehensive program designed to provide interns with a deep understanding of various aspects of credit and risk within Truist. The program includes:
• Core curriculum: Introduces interns to Truist’s core values, leadership skills, financial services acumen, innovation & technology, risk governance and assurance, and professional skills.
• Line of Business track options: Allows interns to specialize in specific areas of interest within Truist’s credit and risk landscape.
• Exposure to senior leaders: Includes opportunities to interact with Truist executives, industry specialists, and other interns.
• Practical experience: Involves working on real-world projects and tasks related to the chosen track, providing hands-on learning and potential business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learn a wide range of concepts, programs, and services related to Truist’s business lines.
• Develop and enhance analytical, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
• Participate in special projects and assignments outside the formalized training program.
• Embrace and model Truist’s purpose, mission, and values.
• Complete additional training as recommended by the manager.
• Participate in business rotations, applying concepts and behaviors learned through training and demonstrating results.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business-related field, with a preference for concentrations in accounting and/or finance.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong initiative and demonstrated leadership through on-campus involvement and/or work experience.
• Enthusiasm for a career in financial services.
• General knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Willingness to travel for on-the-job training and relocate to the internship location.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
