Job Description: Creative (Art) Inktern
This internship offers a junior-level experience within MullenLowe’s Creative Department, the “heart of the agency.” Interns will be fully integrated into teams, working on live client briefs and projects. A key aspect of the internship is mentorship: each intern is paired with a senior creative and a buddy for guidance and learning. Interns are encouraged to participate in agency events and programming to foster networking and cultural understanding. The internship is hybrid/in-office, requiring local residence or relocation to Boston or New York.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and copywriters to develop and refine creative concepts across diverse advertising campaigns (corporate identity, logos, collateral, packaging, social media, websites, mobile apps).
• Focus on typography, photography, layout, and presentation quality.
• Work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Create high-quality illustrations that tell stories through evocative compositions.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or in progress) or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Prior advertising, marketing, or related experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Portfolio: An online portfolio showcasing work (student and/or spec work) is mandatory for application consideration.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Keynote, and Google G-Suite experience is preferred.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, attention to detail, critical thinking, a keen eye for design, proactive attitude, curiosity about the advertising/marketing industry.
Compensation: $18/hour. (The provided salary range is $18-$18 USD, suggesting limited variation based on experience and qualifications).
