Job Description: Corporate Tax Intern / Trainee

This is a part-time internship opportunity within PwC’s Corporate Tax services. The internship runs from early January through mid-April and requires a minimum of 28 hours per week.

What you’ll do:

Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs: Help clients understand their tax responsibilities and develop strategies to manage their tax obligations.
Act as a strategic consultant: Provide guidance on business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners.
Analyze pricing implications of goods and services: Assist clients in understanding the tax implications of transactions between related parties.
Provide tax advice on deals: Offer expert insights on the tax implications of various business deals.
Improve clients’ tax function: Help clients control tax risk, make better decisions, and achieve best corporate tax practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Researching and analyzing tax laws: Staying up-to-date on tax regulations and applying them to client situations.
Communicating with clients and firm management: Effectively conveying complex tax information both orally and in writing.
Contributing to problem-solving: Using research, analysis, and various tools and techniques to address client challenges.
Producing high-quality work: Meeting professional standards in all deliverables.
Developing technical expertise: Staying current on tax developments relevant to your area of specialization.
Handling and analyzing data: Utilizing data responsibly to support decision-making.
Collaborating with others: Embracing diverse perspectives and actively engaging in discussions.
Upholding ethical standards: Adhering to PwC’s code of ethics and business conduct.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred:
• Client service intern positions are typically filled by students in their 3rd or 4th year of their degree program.
• Demonstrated skills in research, analysis, and communication.
• Interest in tax and a desire to develop a career in this field.
• Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
