Job Description: Corporate Tax Intern/Trainee

This internship/trainee position within PwC’s Corporate Tax services offers the opportunity to contribute to a team solving complex business issues. Interns will gain experience in various aspects of corporate tax, working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations while minimizing tax impact on their business.
• Advising clients on local and international tax matters.
• Acting as a strategic consultant, contributing to business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners.
• Providing guidance on the tax implications of goods and services pricing between related parties.
• Advising on the tax implications of business deals.
• Improving clients’ tax functions to manage risk and enhance decision-making.
• Supporting businesses with tax strategy, compliance, and maximizing post-tax profits.
• Providing application support to implement best corporate tax practices.
• Participating in tax compliance engagements.
• Researching tax laws, rules, and regulations and applying them to specific situations.
• Demonstrating creative thinking and initiative within a team environment.
• Proactively seeking guidance and feedback.
• Prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently while maintaining professional skepticism.
• Utilizing various tools and techniques for research, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Producing high-quality work adhering to professional standards.
• Keeping up-to-date on technical developments in the field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• Ideally, in their 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.
• Strong research and analytical abilities related to tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and a commitment to professional development.
• Desire to pursue a career in tax.
• Experience researching business and industry trends (preferred).
• Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services setting (preferred).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Progress toward or completion of requirements for a relevant professional credential (e.g., CPA).

The internship is typically offered during the winter/spring or summer before graduation. The salary range is $28.00 – $44.75 (dependent on location, experience, and qualifications). PwC offers a comprehensive benefits package.
